Collector Circle
Collector Circle membership is an enjoyable way for you to build a collection of my work, while supporting the development of new creative projects at Al Hopwood Studio.
There are two levels to the scheme. Circle members receive a limited edition artwork each year of membership and have access to a curated program of VIP events. Inner Circle members receive the same benefits and the opportunity to commission a unique artwork each year of support. A WITH TV commission
You can commission a single page WITH TV film storyboard that fictionalises an experience from your past. Visit the project website to learn more.
Each storyboard is hand-drawn in digital graphite on an iPad Pro. The drawing is printed on Permajet Heritage 310gsm paper (size: 420 x 297mm) Presented with a signed certificate of authenticity.

A mystery WITH solution
You can choose to receive evidence of a WITH agent performing a 'solution' on your behalf. Visit project website to see examples.
Each WITH solution will be presented as a series of digital files on a WITH branded hard-drive. A single image will be printed and framed from the commission and presented with a signed certificate of authenticity.

A reverse colour card
You can commission me to paint a randomly selected playing card in its reverse colour. The series is inspired by a 1948 psychology experiment by Bruner and Postman called On the Perception of Incongruity.

'Laura Martin' painting series
You can choose to receive a limited edition set of six drawings that visualise abstract paintings made by the fictional artist 'Laura Martin'. Produced for the MoRF project, this edition is only available to the Collector Circle. For further details see project website.
Each drawing is made in digital graphite on an iPad Pro. Printed on Permajet Heritage 310gsm paper (size: 364mm x 280mm). Edition size: 40. Presented with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Temporary Chroma Key Memorial
You can select an archival print of the third image in the series Temporary Chroma Key Memorials commissioned by Wellcome Collection. See the full project here.
Printed on Archival da Vinci Fibre Gloss Silk 310gsm (610mm x 457mm). Edition: 40. Presented with a signed certificate of authenticity.
A 'damaged' WITH edition
You can choose to receive a WITH blind embossed limited edition that simply states 'We have accidentally damaged this limited edition on your behalf'. Your edition will feature a unique piece of damage that could be a coffee stain, ink splatter, footprint or 'lucky dip'.
Embossed on 350gsm white card. Size 594 x 420mm. Edition: 500. Presented with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Events and other benefits
Three events per year
I will host a minimum of three events per year for the Collector Circle. Events will include artist talks, mystery tours, special guests, open studios, gallery visits and discussion groups.
Events will be both online and in person and will include an annual meet up at my favourite London bar / pub. Inner Circle members will also be invited to an Al Hopwood Studio AGM.
PhD Thesis
Inner Circle members will receive a personalised, signed and bound copy of my PhD thesis Misinformation as Material. Circle members will receive a digital version of the thesis.
I was awarded my PhD by Publication with no corrections from University of Westminster in 2023. The thesis charts my journey through three major projects WITH, False Memory Archive and Smoke and Mirrors: The Psychology of Magic.
Collector Circle Newsletter
The Collector Circle will receive a quarterly newsletter that includes behind the scenes updates, cultural recommendations and advance notice of new projects.
The newsletters have a scheduled release date each year that will be forwarded as part of the welcome pack.
